April’s disbandment over ‘bullying controversy’… ‘Seven Years of the Evil’ could not be overcome in the end [전문]

The group April announced the disbandment.

On the 28th, April’s agency DSP Media announced in an official position, “After a long discussion and deliberation, we and the members have decided to disband the team and go their separate ways.”

He continued, “We ask for your support and interest in the six members who will walk a new path other than April. Thank you once again to the fans who have supported and cheered for April over the past six years.”

April debuted in 2015 with their first mini-album ‘Dreaming’ and released hit songs such as ‘May Day’ and ‘Spring Country Story’. However, last year, former member Lee Hyeon-joo experienced ups and downs as a controversy over bullying within the group arose. At the time, DSP Media countered that it was a “distorted claim.”

April has been on hiatus since last July’s summer special album ‘Hello Summer’. As a result, April could not get over the jinx of the renewal contract period called the so-called ‘7 Years of Evil’ and walked the path of disbandment.
