On June 6, 2023, Mr. Pornchai Thiravech, Director of the Office of Fiscal Policy as a spokesman for the Ministry of Finance revealed that Arkhom Termpittayapaisith Mr. Minister of Finance is attending the Council Meeting at Ministerial Level 2023 of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. (The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development: OECD) during 7 – 8 June 2023 in Paris, France.
The aim of the OECD Ministerial Meetings is to focus on finding ways to jointly address members’ overall economic adjustment challenges. and building and maintaining partnerships with countries other than OECD membership. This year’s theme was “Securing a Resilient Future: Shared Values and Global Partnerships”, with the topic of the forum divided into (1) The OECD’s economic outlook, ( 2) the situation in Ukraine, (3) economic immunity through the comprehensive growth of international trade policies, (4) innovation for a zero-net economy, and (5) Future energy situation
Member States and International Organizations of the OECD were present at the meeting, and the Secretary of State of the United Kingdom, Mr. James Cleverly, as Chairman of the Meeting, invites the Minister of the Treasury to join as a Partner who is not a Member at the national level meeting, the Minister of Finance is also due to attend a sub-meeting on taxes and development. Also at the invitation of the United Kingdom.
