Arrested 7 members of the Busan Cargo Solidarity… 1 person was arrested with an iron ball

Seven members of the Solidarity Cargo Union were arrested by the police on charges of interfering with truck transport in Busan.

The Busan Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 4th that it is investigating nine cases of illegal acts, including blocking the transportation of trucks, in relation to the general strike of the cargo unions, and has arrested seven suspects.

On the 2nd, the police arrested three officers, including the manager of branch A, at the Gimhae Branch office of the Cargo Solidarity. On the 26th, Mr. A and others from shooting iron balls at a non-union cargo vehicle operating at Busan New Port.

The police applied for special damage to property and injuries to drivers under the Special Act and applied for an arrest warrant on the 3rd, one of whom was arrested that day. The other two were released.

Police also booked a cargo union member who threw a detonator at a trailer operated by a non-union member near Busan New Port on the morning of the 29th of last month, and two other suspected union members of spraying water and pushing a police officer during the arrest process.

On the 30th of last month, a union member who threw a microphone at the driver’s seat of a trailer operated by a non-union member near Busan New Port was booked and an investigation is underway.
