Vinay Menon, welfare manager of European football club Chelsea, has left Chelsea after 13 years of service. Vinay Menon told Manorama that he left Chelsea with love to coach various sports personalities and corporate heads. Vinay was the coach of the Belgium team in the World Cup. He is the first Indian to hold the position of coach of a leading European club and a World Cup playing country. He said that after learning that he had left Chelsea, many state governments had called to use his services and that it was wrong for people who don’t know the game to decide things.
