India lost three wickets while scoring 20 runs. But Deepti and Jemima, who came together in the fourth wicket, put on a century partnership and won the stage. Jemima remained unbeaten on 75 off 45 balls with 11 fours. Deepti scored 64 runs off 49 balls with five fours and two sixes.

Things got easier for India as the UAE women, who came out looking for a win in the reply innings, went over-defensive. Kavisha Egodage was the team’s top scorer with an unbeaten 30 off 54 balls. Khushi Sharma, who scored 29 runs off 50 balls, also kept going. At the end of the game, captain Chaya Mughal was on top with Kavisha for six runs.
