Asian woman killed at subway station in downtown New York City pushed down by black people

Asian woman dies in New York City subway station… pushed down by black people

The suspect is a 61-year-old man with a previous robbery… Police: “It’s not normal”

(New York = Yonhap News) Correspondent Ko Il-hwan = An Asian woman was pushed to death at a subway station in Times Square, New York, which is crowded with tourists from all over the world.

The New York Post reported that a black man pushed an Asian woman waiting for a tram at a subway station between Times Square and 42nd Street around 9:40 a.m. on the 15th (local time).

The woman who fell into the tram was killed at the scene.

The nationality or origin of the victim has not been confirmed, but it is known that she is 40 years old.

The assailant was Marshall Simon, 61, who fled the scene, but was later caught by the police.

He has been arrested three times by the police since 1998, and it is known that he was released from prison in August of last year after serving two years in prison for a robbery.

Police said of Simon “It’s bullshit and it’s not normal.”

He has been receiving medication for mental illness for the past 20 years, and is said to have been hospitalized.

Police said Simon, from Haiti, had nothing to do with the victim.

“Another horrific incident has occurred,” a Chinese-American group in New York said in a statement. “We must make streets and subways safe for all citizens, including Asian women.”

In July of last year, on the New York City subway, an Asian woman who was attacked by a black man fell into a coma and died.
