Asiana Airlines signs agreement with Korea Tourism Organization for early recovery of tourism in Korea

Asiana Airlines joined hands with the Korea Tourism Organization to recover the travel market.

The two companies announced on the 28th that they had signed a ‘business agreement for the early recovery of the travel market to Korea’ at the Seoul Center of the Korea Tourism Organization in the presence of officials including Asiana Airlines CEO Jeong Seong-gwon and Korea Tourism Organization President Ahn Young-bae.

This MOU was prepared to accelerate the recovery of the international tourism market and promote the mutual growth of the tourism industry and the aviation industry in the face of the restart of international tourism after Corona 19.

Asiana Airlines and Korea Tourism Organization are jointly promoting the development of special programs for overseas influencers, the attraction of MICE (meeting/rewarding tours/conventions/exhibitions, Meeting/Incentive tour/Convention/Exhibition) medical tourism groups, and the development of Korean tourism video content. It was decided to promote the early recovery of the tourism market in Korea.

In addition, the two companies decided to share customer information and tourism-air information and carry out customized marketing to increase synergy in the business of attracting foreign tourists.

To commemorate the signing of the business agreement, Asiana Airlines and Korea Tourism Organization announced the ‘Travel to Korea begins Again!’ We also run promotions. A 5-10% discount on ticket purchases is provided to Korean tourists traveling on 14 routes departing from the US/Europe/Southeast Asia/Australia. The discounted ticket purchase period is from May 15 to June 30, and the boarding period is from May 15 to November 30. However, the discount ticket can be purchased through the local Asiana Airlines website (flyasiana.com).

Asiana Airlines CEO Jeong Seong-gwon said, “We will work together with the Korea Tourism Organization to promote the charm of Korea so that more tourists can come to Korea, which is recovering from the pre-COVID-19 daily life.”

Meanwhile, Asiana Airlines will expand its flights to 18 flights a week on major routes from May. The routes departing from Incheon, the Americas, Japan, Asia, and Oceania are targeted, and in the future, according to each country’s COVID-19 quarantine policy, we plan to actively promote the expansion of international routes.
