Thiruvananthapuram – Non-bailable sections have been charged against KSRTC employees who beat the father in front of his college student daughter. The police registered a case under the charge of insulting a girl. The non-bailable charges were laid after the girl testified that she had been assaulted. Earlier, a bailable section was installed.

Panchayat worker Premanan (53), a native of Amachal, was beaten up during a dispute over his daughter’s concession ticket renewal. 4 workers were suspended following the instructions of minister Antony Raju. KSRTC Aryanadu Unit Station Master A. Muhammad Sheriff, Kattakkada Depot Duty Guard SR Suresh Kumar, Conductor N. Anil Kumar and Assistant CP Milan Dorich were suspended.

The problem was caused by the workers taking the position that a concession cannot be given without a course certificate. Premanan said that the certificate was issued earlier but the workers did not surrender. When Premanan said that this is the reason why KSRTC has reached this level, there was controversy. Premanan was beaten and pushed into the staff room. KSRTC Managing Director apologized to the people for the incident. The High Court has requested a report from the Managing Director.
