Asus, aiming for the gaming laptop market… Two new ROG launches

[아이뉴스24 서민지 기자] Asus is strengthening its market penetration by introducing new gaming laptops from ROG’s high-performance gaming lineup.

Asus held a ROG new product launching event on the 17th (local time) and unveiled two new gaming products. The new products unveiled this time are the ROG Strix Scar 17 Special Edition and the ROG Flow X16 model.

ROG Strix Ska 17 Special Edition is a high-performance premium gaming laptop powered by the latest 12th Gen Intel Core i9 12950HX CPU and up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU. The display provides two options: FHD resolution with a refresh rate of 360Hz and QHD resolution with a refresh rate of 240Hz. In Korea, a QHD display model with a refresh rate of 240Hz will be released.

With a 3ms response speed, detailed expression is possible, and the Adaptive-Sync function enables smooth play without interruption or delay in high-end games. It is equipped with up to 4800MHz DDR5 lab and 4 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD to support a fast and comfortable gaming environment, and is equipped with a cutting-edge cooling solution that significantly lowers the hardware temperature.

The ROG Flow X16 is a convertible gaming laptop with a high-performance 16-inch Nebula HDR display. The Nebula HDR display provides an optimal gaming environment by meeting high standards such as 1,100 nits of brightness, a wide color gamut of 100% DCI-P3, and a contrast ratio of 100,000 to 1.

As the main processor, it is equipped with up to AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS CPU and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, and is equipped with a cooling system that significantly lowers the temperature of the GPU than before. The 360-degree rotatable convertible form factor can be used in tablet mode, tent mode, etc.

Two new products unveiled at the event will be officially launched in Korea on the 26th.
