Audio drift/sync bug in some models of ‘AirPods Pro’ 2nd generation

Foreign media such as Nine to Five Mac reported on the 13th (local time) that some models of Apple’s second generation AirPods Pro reported ▲ audio drift and syncing bugs.

According to reports, some users of the second generation AirPods Pro are complaining about the audio drift bug through online communities like Reddit.

Sound drift refers to the problem of sound moving between the sides of the two headphones. The audio may be out of sync with the video as it moves back and forth between the headsets.

This issue occurs even with spatial audio and head tracking disabled. In addition, some users have also reported an issue where the volume level increases or decreases randomly. The same problem has been known to occur with a new product that has been replaced.

Apple has yet to make an official statement on the matter. If it’s a software issue, it’s expected to be fixed via an update soon.
