Manama: The Ministry of Health has announced that it has shifted controls to a lower green level in Bahrain in the wake of a significant drop in the spread of Kovid disease. The move is based on a decision taken by the National Medical Task Force after assessing the Kovid situation in the country.
Based on the Kovid test positivity rate and ICU cases, the vigilance alert system had earlier categorized the regions of the country into four categories namely green, yellow, orange and red. Bahrain is currently subject to minimal restrictions.

Schools can start direct classes
Schools will be able to start direct classes as the country moves to the green level of Kovid Alert, officials said. But parents have the right to decide whether or not to send their children to school. The authorities have also directed to provide facilities for those who want to continue their online classes.
Special care should be taken to ensure the health of students, teachers and other staff at the start of the new school year. The majority also demanded that the Kovid defense precautionary measures be followed by all.
What are the green level exemptions?
Under the Green Level Concessions, vaccinated and non-vaccinated people can enter retail shops, shopping malls, restaurants, cafes, barber shops, salons and spas. They are also allowed to attend private functions at home. Admission is also open to outdoor events, conferences, private government offices, sports centers, swimming pools and gymnasiums.

The public will also be allowed to participate in outdoor sports events. Admission to film, indoor sports, indoor events and conferences is restricted to those who have been vaccinated, those who have received the Green Shield, those who have been cured, and those under 12 years of age who fall into these two categories.
Institutions licensed to operate at all levels
At the same time, companies in the essential services are allowed to operate openly at any alert level. Hyper-supermarkets, Grocery Stores, Fish-Meat-Vegetable Shops, Bakeries, Petrol and Gas Stations, Emergency Healthcare Institutions, Banks and Other Financial Institutions, Administrative Offices of Non-Customers, Export-Import Corporation, Automobile Corporation Shops, factories, telecom offices, pharmacies and companies operating in the construction and maintenance sectors are licensed at all levels.
