Mumbai: Aryan Khan, who was released on bail on Thursday, could not be released from jail. The lawyers were late to submit the documents to the jail before 5.30 pm after completing the bail process. Arthur Road Jail officials said the law was the same for everyone and could not be given special consideration.
Shah Rukh Khan left his bungalow in Bandra to receive the Aryan, but the process soon returned in despair. He will be released from jail after 9.30 am today. Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla, who is also a family friend of Shah Rukh Khan, has posted bail for Aryan.
One of the reasons for the delay is that the actress left to take care of two photos to add to the documents. Aryan, his friend Arbas Merchant and model Mun Mun Dhamechha were granted bail by the Bombay High Court on 14 conditions. The court issued the bail order yesterday evening.
The NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) arrested Aryan Khan the next day after he was remanded in custody for two months in connection with a luxury cruise-related drug case. He has been in judicial custody at Arthur Road Jail since the 8th.
