Bangalore and Punjab are on the field today for the play-offs

Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings in the IPL today. The two teams will meet today for the play-offs. Bangalore are fourth with 14 points from 12 matches with 7 wins and Punjab are eighth with 10 points from 5 matches with 5 wins. The match will be played at Mumbai Brabourne Stadium at 7.30 pm. Punjab won the first quarter by five wickets.

Sunrisers beat Bangalore by 67 runs to reach Bangalore. Virat Kohli’s poor form is Bangalore’s biggest crisis. The return of Faf Duplessis and Rajat Patidar to form in the last few matches will give them confidence. Glenn Maxwell, Mahipal Lomrore, Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed all play well. While Vanindu Hazaranga, Herschelle Patel and Josh Hazelwood have done well in the bowling line-up, Mohammad Siraj has not reached last season’s form. However, the team is unlikely to change today.

Punjab, where firebrand cricket is played, is like the proverbial sword-wielding man. They have yet to win two matches in a row. They had conceded 6 wickets in the last match against Rajasthan Royals. Johnny Bairstow’s return to form is a positive for Punjab. But Mayank Agarwal is disappointing in the middle order. Shikhar Dhawan and Liam Livingston have done well, while wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma has done well. The bowling line-up, which includes Kagiso Rabada, Rahul Chahar and Arshdeep Singh, is playing flawlessly. The team is unlikely to change.
