Raipur Chhattisgarh Governor Anusuya Uyke criticized BCCI for not inviting India-New Zealand to watch the second ODI match. The complaint is that the governor did not invite him to watch the ODI match held at the Shaheed Vir Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur last Saturday. Raj Bhavan will protest to the central government and BCCI over the incident.
Prominent political leaders and top officials of the state had come to watch the first one-day international at the Raipur Stadium. The Chief Minister of the State, Bhupesh Bhagel, ministers and Members of Parliament were invited to the stadium. The judges of the Chhattisgarh High Court were also invited to the event. A Raj Bhavan spokesperson responded that the protest would be conveyed to the Center and the BCCI immediately.

The state government has clarified that it has no responsibility for not receiving an official invitation to Raj Bhavan. The state government’s stand is that the stadium has been given only to BCCI, the organizers, and all other matters are BCCI’s responsibility. India defeated New Zealand by eight wickets in Raipur. With the win, India won the series.
