The Ministry of Labor of the Republic of Belarus, by resolution No. 1 of January 26, 2023, approved the size of the subsistence minimum budget on average per capita and for the main socio-demographic groups for the period from February 1 to April 30, 2023.

“The average cost of living budget per capita is set at 341 rubles 48 kopecks, which is 0.5% higher compared to the standard in force from November 1, 2022 to January 31, 2023,” the ministry said in a statement.

In connection with the change in the BPM, from February 1, 2023, various allowances and increases are automatically reviewed, as well as individual social payments calculated from the size of the BPM: the amount of benefits, pension supplements, social pensions, etc.

“The recalculation will cover more than 700,000 recipients of social benefits,” the ministry says.
