Many people took part in community fasting in different places. Many said this time was the experience of fasting before Covid-19. This year community fasting was established in many churches which was not there last year.

Iftar tents were also built in most places. While the families broke the fast together, some of the bachelors celebrated the fast in their residences as well. As usual for fasts in mosques, there was an abundance of Arabic, Hyderabadi biryani, harissa, juice, dates, laban (buttermilk), fruits, oranges and apples.

In rural areas, a variety of food came from native households. Some church members rely on catering services. Most bachelors break their fast this way throughout Ramadan. Community fasting is no small help to low wage workers. After Iftar everyone prayed Maghrib together.
