The Nokia G20, launched in Hong Kong last September, is an entry-level 4G phone with a MediaTek Helio P35 processor, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The latest news indicates that HMD Global has already prepared the successor model Nokia G21. Although the MediaTek processor is abandoned, consumers should not expect too much from the new machine.
A foreign media recently discovered that the database of the benchmarking website Geekbench shows the benchmark scores of the Nokia G21, with single-core and multi-core scores of 312 and 1,157 respectively. According to Geekbench data, HMD Global has selected the Unisoc T606 processor for the mobile phone, and the RAM is maintained at 4GB. The mobile phone sent for testing is pre-loaded with the Android 11 system, and it is estimated that it may switch to Android 12 when it goes on sale.
Simply comparing the Geekbench 5 scores, the Nokia G20 has only 163 and 934 points. Switching to the Unisoc T606 has a significant increase, but it is still an entry-level level. Other specifications and configurations, it is reported that the Nokia G21 is equipped with a 6.5-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution, a triple-lens camera on the back, a 50MP main lens, a built-in battery said to be 5,000mAh, the phone will have 128GB storage, microSD expansion, 3.5mm headphone jack, and has Black and brown body options.
