The soccer team led by coach Paulo Bento arrived at Beirut International Airport in Lebanon on the morning of the 26th.
The national team, which quenched in Turkey and played an evaluation match against Iceland (15th) and Moldova (21st), was initially joined by European and Middle Eastern leaguers such as Kim Min-jae (Fenerbahce) and Hwang Ui-jo (Bordeaux) at 5:35 pm local time on the 25th. The national team initially decided to stay one more day in Turkey, but secured a flight to Lebanon at 11:15 pm local time on the 25th through Sabiha Gokchen Airport, another airport in Istanbul, and landed after about two hours of flight.
Although there was fatigue from moving late at night, the burden of playing the game the day after arriving in Lebanon was relieved.
The national team will play the 7th game of Group A of the World Cup final qualifier against Lebanon at Saida Municipal Stadium in Sidon, Lebanon, on the 27th at 9:00 pm (Korean time).
South Korea (14 points, 4 wins, 2 draws), second in Group A after Iran (16 points, 5 wins, 1 draw) among the six countries in Group A, may be confirmed to advance to the finals depending on the results of this round.
