‘Best ever’ LG Ensol subscription investors ‘2030’ MZ generation is half

It was analyzed that half of the general public offering subscribers of LG Energy Solutions (hereinafter referred to as LG Ensol), which recorded the largest IPO in history, are in their 20s and 30s, so-called MZ generation (millennials + generation Z).

On the 21st, Shinhan Financial Investment’s Big Data Center made this announcement based on the results of analysis of its own investors who participated in the LG Ensol public offering.

By age, among all investors, those in their 30s accounted for the most at 28.6%, followed by those in their 40s (22.8%), 20s (20%), 50s (16.4%), 60s (6.9%), 70s and older (1.6%), and those in their 20s (3.7%). Combined, those in their 20s and 30s accounted for 48.6%.

The proportion of proportional subscribers was the highest among the middle-aged. Looking at the proportion of paid subscription margin by age group, those in their 50s with spare funds accounted for the highest at 26.5%, followed by those in their 40s with 24.3% and those in their 60s with 19%.

Most of the investors, 98.4%, participated in the subscription using a digital channel such as a mobile trading system (MTS).

On the other hand, in the case of high-priced subscribers, there were many cases of visiting branches. Of the subscription amount, 84.2% of subscriptions made through digital channels and 15.8% of investors who made a subscription by visiting a branch.
