‘No’ to the question of support for F-16 fighter jets
Around the first anniversary of the invasion, likely to visit the neighboring countries of Ukraine
US President Joe Biden, who decided to provide M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine, which is at war with Russia, for its main battle tank, expressed a negative stance on fighter support.

Ukraine, which has been at war with Russia for 12 months, recently received a promise of tank support from the West, including NATO, as part of strengthening ground warfare in preparation for a long-term war.
Since then, however, Ukraine has raised its demands and asked for support for fighter jets and precision strike missiles.
The West, including the United States, has been providing only defensive weapons to Ukraine for fear of escalating the war against Russia, but a change of mood has recently been detected, such as the provision of offensive weapons.
Germany eventually decided to supply its main tank, the Leopard 2, and the US also supplied the M1 Abrams. The UK also decided to provide the Challenger 2.
Additionally, some countries are known to be considering supporting even fighter jets.
French President Emmanuel Macron said on the same day that he would not rule out the possibility of sending fighter jets to Ukraine.
If President Macron’s review leads to support, it is very likely that other Western countries will send jet planes one after the other.
Meanwhile, President Biden is expected to visit Poland soon. Previously, US media reported that President Biden was considering a plan to visit Europe at the end of next month, around the first anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and he mentioned the possibility of a visit to the border country of Ukraine or the Ukraine.
