“There is a fire now, so find the emergency exit and evacuate immediately.”

The fire department lowered the second stage of the response and mobilized around 450 people and 80 fire trucks to extinguish the fire.

As the smoke increased, the city of Gumi also sent out a disaster safety message to nearby residents.

“I heard that the security team reported that the fire had started within about 25 minutes. The fire is getting worse than when I first saw it. The new building over there…”

The fire happened in a factory that produces glass film for mobile phones.

Because there are many combustible substances and chemical products, it is difficult to catch the fire easily, so the fire department has difficulty in extinguishing it.

About 130 workers were evacuated, but three firefighters were burned in the fire and taken to hospital.

The fire department worked to extinguish the fire by building a line of defense to prevent the fire from spreading to other factories.

“There are argon, nitrogen tanks, and hydrogen carriers at the back of the factory, so we are focused on preventing the spread of combustion here through intensive protection.”

A large flame that burned one building of a sandwich panel factory with three stories above ground and a size of about 30,000 square meters was extinguished in about six hours.

The fire department intends to investigate the exact cause and extent of the fire after completely extinguishing the embers left on the cargo inside.
