Big fire in Russian coal mine… 52 killed, including miners and rescue workers

52 people have been killed so far in a large fire at the Liszt Byznaya coal mine in Siberia, Russia.

Of the 280 miners working in the mine, 46 lost their lives and 6 rescue workers were also killed.

Local authorities believe that the fire started as a result of an explosion of methane gas and are investigating the person responsible for managing the coal mine.
