Bangalore: (www.kvartha.com 30.10.2021) Bineesh Kodiyeri, who was granted bail in a money laundering case, has finally been released from jail. Bineesh was released from the Karnataka Parappana Agrahara Central Jail on Saturday evening. Bineesh was released after serving a year in prison.
Bineesh told the media after his release from jail that the truth would prevail. Bineesh, who said that India’s largest political party was behind the case, said he was jailed for not naming names. The case was against Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. Bineesh Kodiyeri told the media that he will tell in detail after arriving in Kerala.
The Karnataka High Court on Thursday granted conditional bail to Bineesh. In addition to the two sureties of Rs 5 lakh, the conditions were not to leave the country without permission, to appear before the investigating officers and the trial court properly, not to influence witnesses and not to destroy evidence.
On Friday, Bineesh Kodiyeri’s release from jail was delayed after two Karnataka nationals who had come for bail withdrew. There are indications that the withdrawal was due to the rigid nature of the bail conditions and the fear of being under the surveillance of the Enforcement Directorate (ED). It is reported that the ED will approach the Supreme Court against granting bail to Bineesh.
