In the domestic virtual currency market, the price of Bitcoin has fallen and is rising and falling from the 69 million won level.

As of 1:03 pm on the cryptocurrency exchange Upbit on the 28th, 1 bitcoin was 69,177,000 won, down 848,000 won (1.24%) from 24 hours ago. Bithumb also traded at 69.17 million won, down 400,000 won (0.58%) from the previous day.

Bitcoin has been declining moderately after hitting a record high on the 9th. In particular, on the 26th, the price of Bitcoin fell more than 6% on Upbit, dropping below 70 million won. In the United States, Bitcoin recorded a 7-8% decline the day before, rising and falling around the $54,000 level.

There is no clear cause of the decline, but the recent emergence of a new mutation ‘Omicron’ in the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has strengthened the preference for safe assets, which is believed to be affecting the virtual currency market.
