During the press conference ahead of the next game against Jamshedpur FC, Kerala Blasters coach Ivan Vukomanovic had to face a question about Putia’s successor. The club was said to have made a decision on finding a replacement for Putia who left Blasters. Answer by Ivan Vukomanovich. Ivan hinted that Putia’s successor would be coming to Blasters but did not reveal any more information about this.

“It’s already been done (finding a replacement for Peutia). It will be soon (signing another). We have the right player to replace him. We have quality players in the squad. Like club, we have anticipated situations like this. We have prepared for it. Before that move, we are ready for the next step. “Ready. Not making an official confirmation. But we are ready to face this situation,” Ivan Vukomanović paused.

At the same time, Peutia was the star who came to Kerala Blasters in 2020. The star’s best performance was seen in the last season. The player was in great form during the season when Blasters reached the ISA final. But this season, the player’s playing time has decreased. Putia, who had an agreement with the Blasters until May 2023, left the club with five months remaining on his contract.

Putia is an experienced Indian Premier League player. Because of that, it is rather difficult for Blasters management to find a suitable replacement for the star. Apart from Blasters, Putiak has played for Aizawl FC, DSK Shivajians and Northeast United FC and has donned his boots in 65 matches in the ISL alone.
