Who is ahead?
Kerala Blasters FC have six players on their forward list for the 2022-2023 ISL season. Only two of them come from abroad. Australian center forward Apostolas Giannu and Greek center forward Dimitrios Diamantakos. The other three are young Indian players. Bidyashagar Singh from Manipur, Subha Ghosh from Kolkata and Muhammad Aiman from Malayali. Mohammad Ayman was the closest to being called up to the senior team.
Dimitrios Diamantakos is likely to be the leader of Kerala Blasters FC for the 2022-2023 season as things have been going so far. The 29-year-old Greek center forward scored for Kerala Blasters FC in the two official pre-season friendlies. The Greek player’s goals were against Al Jazeera Al Hamra FC in UAE and against MA College Kothamangalam in Panambilly Nagar. Dimitrios Diamantakos is a box player with all the precision of a number nine.
Australian-Greek center forward Apostolos Giannou is an intelligent player. Although he prefers to play in the center forward position, Apostolas Gianu will also play in the second striker and right wing positions. Apostolas Giannu was the second striker behind Dimitrios Diamantakos in Kerala Blasters FC 2022-2023 pre-season friendlies. Apostolos Giannou’s task is to score with Diamantakos and score where he fails.

Bhutanese star Chencho was at Kerala Blasters FC as the third striker for the 2021-2022 season. This time, Bidyashagar Singh, who is a native of Manipur, is the third striker in the team along with Apostles Gianu and Dimitrios Diamantakos. Bidyashagar Singh joined Kerala Blasters FC on loan from Bengaluru FC.

Subha Ghosh and Muhammed Aimen are the young players in the Kerala Blasters FC frontline in the 2022-2023 season. Here are those who took to the field for Kerala Blasters FC in 2022 Durant Cup Football. 21-year-old Subha Ghosh and 19-year-old Mohammad Aiman are delighted to have made it to the Kerala Blasters senior team. What will the style be?
Serbian Ivan Vukomanovic, who became the head coach of Kerala Blasters FC for the 2021-2022 season, adopted a 4-4-2 formation. That means attacking with two attackers. Vukomanovic can follow the same style in the 2022 – 2023 season. However, Itana Kerala Blasters FC have all the weapons to go for the 4-3-2-1 and 4-4-1-1 style. Dimitrios Diamantakos would be the only Bosque player to adopt this style. Apostol Giannu will also be the second attacker. Saurav Mandal and Sahal Abdul Samad will also be responsible for the attack.
The goal can come from anywhere
The warm-up games for the 2022-2023 season suggest that the goals that Kerala Blasters FC need to win could come from anyone in the squad. Kerala Blasters FC have played three warm-up matches in the pre-season so far. Al Jazeera Al Hamra FC UAE Club, Kerala National Games Team and MA College Kothamangalam were Kerala Blasters opponents. Kerala Blasters won all three matches 5 – 1, 3 – 0 and 3 – 0 respectively.
