Blue Farm Korea Launches Flu Vaccine Pre-Order Discount Event
The domestic drug e-commerce platform, Blue Farm Korea, has announced the start of its annual flu pre-order discount sale event. This comes as no surprise, as the event was successful last year.
Blue M Tech, the operator of Blue Farm Korea, based this year’s pre-order event on a survey conducted among 663 members in May. The survey revealed that only 5% of participating doctors predicted a decrease in flu vaccine demand compared to last year. Furthermore, around 46.7% of respondents expressed their willingness to pre-order and purchase more than half of the required amount.
Typically, flu vaccination starts between mid-September and early October. Therefore, pharmaceutical companies and distributors typically undergo a national inspection process in July and August, with distribution commencing at the end of August. Blue Farm Korea’s decision to hold the flu vaccine pre-order event a month earlier aims to offer discount benefits to those who purchase early and avoid the peak demand period when securing refrigerated delivery vehicles becomes challenging.
Discounts and Additional Benefits
During this event, flu vaccines are available at a discount of up to 15% based on the order size. Additionally, customers can enjoy extra benefits, such as a coupon worth 200,000 won for medical consumables, delivery on a specified date, or split distribution.
Last year’s flu vaccine pre-order event generated significant interest, resulting in sales of 10 billion won within a month before official shipment. This year, the event began on July 24 and recorded 1 billion won in pre-orders for the flu vaccine in just one day. This represents more than double the amount compared to the previous year, demonstrating a strong demand for early vaccination.
Blue M Tech’s business department head, Park Young-gyu, explained the rationale behind the event, stating, “We anticipated an increase in demand for diagnostic kits to determine the status of influenza and COVID-19 infections, which led us to include discounts on diagnostic kits in this year’s event.”
In addition, Blue M Tech, led by CEO Hyun-soo Kim and Byung-chan Jeong, operates ‘Blue Farm Korea,’ a specialized medicine platform catering to hospitals and clinics. The company recently applied for a preliminary examination for listing on the KOSDAQ market on June 9. Moreover, it has been selected as a potential ‘preliminary unicorn special guarantee’ candidate by the Ministry of Small, Medium, and Startup Businesses.

Domestic drug e-commerce platform Blue Farm Korea announced on the 25th that it has started a flu pre-order discount sale event this year as well as last year.
Blue M Tech, the operator of Blue Farm Korea, previously planned this pre-order event based on the results of a survey conducted on 663 members last May. Only 5% of the doctors who took part in the survey predicted that the demand for flu vaccines would decrease this year compared to last year. About half (46.7%) of the respondents said they were willing to buy more than half the required amount by pre-ordering.
Flu vaccination usually starts between mid-September and early October. Accordingly, it is common for pharmaceutical companies and distributors to go through the national inspection process in July and August and start distribution from the end of August. Blue Farm Korea’s flu vaccine pre-order event, held a month early, is a method of providing discount benefits to those who buy a little earlier to avoid the season when demand for orders is high and it is difficult to secure a refrigerated delivery vehicle.
During this event, flu vaccines are sold at a discount of up to 15% depending on the size of the order, and additional benefits such as a coupon for medical consumables worth 200,000 won, delivery on a specified date or split distribution are provided.
Last year, interest was high enough to record sales of 10 billion earned through a flu vaccine pre-order event for a month before it was officially shipped. This year, the event began on July 24, and pre-orders for the flu totaled 1 billion won (about 60,000 doses) in one day. The company explained that this is more than double the level of the previous year.
Park Young-gyu, head of Blue M Tech’s business department, said, “We anticipated that the demand for diagnostic kits to determine the status of influenza and corona infection would increase in addition to the demand from last year, so we planned this event by including discounts on diagnostic kits.”
Meanwhile, Blue M Tech (CEO Hyun-soo Kim, Byung-chan Jeong) operates ‘Blue Farm Korea’, a specialty medicine platform targeting hospitals and clinics. On June 9, it submitted an application for a preliminary examination for listing on the KOSDAQ market, and was recently selected for the ‘preliminary unicorn special guarantee’ target operated by the Ministry of Small, Medium and Startup Businesses.
