Bong Joong-geun from MLB learns baseball’s DNA

He revealed his 11-year-old son.

On the April 25th broadcast of Channel A’s ‘Super DNA Blood Can’t Cheat’, the youngest major leaguer Bong Joong-geun’s son Bong Jae-min was revealed.

Bong Jae-min, who is currently in the fourth grade of elementary school, wears the same jersey number as his father and said, “The more I play baseball, the better my skills will improve. It’s my dream to become a major leaguer.”

Along with this, the daily life of Bong Joong-geun and his son was revealed. While having lunch, when Bong Joong-geun asked, “Do you want to become a player like your father?”, Bong Jae-min answered, “No. I don’t want to,” as if embarrassed.

Bong Joong-geun said about his son, “I am timid and shy. It’s a pity that I don’t have a lot of attachment.” Bong Joong-geun asked, “It’s a team sport that nine people do, not one person. Baseball is all about hard work. Are you sure you’ll do it anyway?” Bong Jae-min said, “Continue” and showed his passion for baseball.

Bong Joong-geun started training with his son. Bong Jae-min said, “I have a desire to win. I want to beat my father when I hear nagging to concentrate.”

At the same time, the outstanding skills of hitter Bong Jae-min were revealed. Bong Jae-min expressed his pride, saying, “I am most confident in stealing.” Bong Jung-geun, who went to the major leagues as a batter and changed his position as a pitcher, continued to express his wish that his son also pitched. “I was a pitcher too,” he said, “and I have a sense of responsibility and charm.” As Bong Jung-geun wished, Bong Jae-min also showed talent as a pitcher. After training, Bong Joong-geun persuaded him again, “Don’t you want to pitch?” But his son continued to insist on hitting.

When Kim Min-kyung, who saw the VCR, and Jae-min, who refused to pitch, revealed his curiosity about his inner feelings, Bong Joong-geun said, “Last year, I played a lot as a pitcher. He suddenly said he didn’t want to pitch because he couldn’t throw a lot of strikes.” He mentioned the pressure his son felt.
