In this project contest, Boramae Hospital applied for the ‘Oral drug image for the development of artificial intelligence for drug identification’ and was recently selected as the implementing institution.
Accordingly, Boramae Hospital will carry out a project to build image data of about 5,000 drugs based on the government subsidy of KRW 1.8 billion by December 31st.
Professor Si-wook Lee of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Boramae Hospital, who is in charge of the project, said, “We plan to actively cooperate with relevant institutions to build and develop optimized AI data for various types of drug packaging. We will do our best to carry out our business so that we can take the lead in the development of domestic medical AI by fulfilling our role and contribute to the advancement of Boramae Hospital into a research-oriented hospital.”
