(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Bae Jin-nam = With regard to Hwang Ui-jo (29, Bordeaux family), who has recovered from injury, the manager of his team expressed his intention not to rush.

According to French media such as Requip, Bordeaux coach Vladimir Petkovich said at an official press conference held on the 26th (Korean time) ahead of the match against Brest, about Hwang Ui-jo’s physical condition, “It’s not 100% yet.”

Bordeaux will play a home match against Brest on the 28th at 11 pm on the 15th round of French professional football league 1 2021-2022.

Hwang Ui-jo, who has missed four games in a row since the 11th round against Lorient due to consecutive injuries to the muscles behind the ankle and thigh (hamstring), recently joined the team training.

Bordeaux, which had 1 win, 2 draws and 1 loss in 4 matches played without Hwang Ui-jo, is 16th out of 20 teams (13 points, 2 wins, 7 draws and 5 losses).

The team’s top scorer Hwang Ui-jo (4 goals) is desperately in need of a comeback, but Manager Petrovich showed caution by saying he would not overdo it.

“I hope that Hwang Ui-Jo will come back without any problems,” said Petkovic. “We have three games to play in the next week. So we have to manage so that he doesn’t get hurt again and he gets the most out of him.”

After the match against Brest, Bordeaux will face Strasbourg (away) on the 2nd of the following month and Olympique Lyon (home) on the 6th in turn.
