After the spin-off “Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands” became the first game in the “Borderlands” series to open up all platforms, the official promised PlayStation versionBorderlands 3Cross-play support has now finally been confirmed with an approximate launch date. Later this spring, players on PS5 and PS4 will be able to play along with players on Xbox, PC, Mac, and Stadia.
Before that, Borderlands 3 on PS had been unable to provide cross-platform online services due to authentication issues. Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford said last month that adding support for the PS5 and PS4 versions was “inevitable”, and now that seems to have cleared the hurdle.
