BOSTON (CBS) – A new survey is ranking the world's top cities and Boston is just about cutting.
Time Out asked 34,000 people who live in food cities, drink, culture, night life and other factors such as affordability and overall happiness.
Boston enters No. 42 of its ranking of the world's top 48 cities. That's 41 spots behind the best city in New York, and after other American metropolises Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, D.C., Miami, San Francisco and Seattle.
Time Out editor emphasizes change designed Boston towards healthy living.
“Formerly a meat and potato town, Boston is now close to health-care restaurants offering vegetarian, vegan, and celiac-cardiac offers: in fact, we are the majority of the city's people who are free from gluten, ”writes Eric Grossman, Time Out Boston. “And despite the sudden weather we had, Boston with health care would prefer to do anything other than sit in the dark for two hours: how to explain that we are visiting on movie theaters as often as anyone else?
