Britney Spears’ father is “very concerned” about the amount of freedom granted to the singer.
Jamie Spears stepped down from his position as head of affairs at hitmaker “ Toxic ” in September 2019 due to health problems and in his place a licensed conservator appointed by court Jodi Montgomery.
While Britney – who has children Preston, 15, and Jayden, 14, with ex-husband Kevin Federline – is happy that she can be trusted to take on more responsibility for her medical affairs, her father – who recently requested him and former co-conservative Andrew Wallet being reconfirmed to their positions – he has reservations.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: “Britney has a lot of freedom in making her own decisions when it comes to medical care.
“Her conservative Jodi Montgomery is confident that Britney has been in charge of this for most of her adult life and this responsibility should be trusted.
“[But Jamie is] very worried. “
A few days ago, attorney Andrew withdrew the petition to be renamed Conservative.
Britney has requested that Jodi be named her permanent conservative and is expected to remain in the position on a temporary basis at least until February 2021.
Meanwhile, Andrew recently insisted that the 38-year-old singer – who was placed under guardianship after her breakdown in 2008 – doesn’t have the “ability” to make her own decisions.
She said: “It’s not in Britney’s best interest to be outside guardianship, but there is a lot of politics involved.
“Britney, to date, does not have the ability to sign documents and make decisions on her own.
“The protection of its assets is very important and for this reason the protection must remain in force because it is susceptible to undue influence”.
