Broken locks, poor light: issues of significant security and safety issues' were found by Baltimore schools.

The Baltimore assessment, completed by independent firms JRS Architects and EMG Corp in June, received “significant security and safety issues” in schools – beyond the non-executive locks on inner doors. The city's school system provided a summary of the results for The Baltimore Sun, but refused applications for individual school safety evaluations, which are not subject to Maryland public record law.
