Big Hit Music announced on the 29th through the fan community platform Weverse, “Jungkook was confirmed to have Corona 19 as a result of a PCR (gene amplification) test in Las Vegas, USA.”
It is reported that Jungkook left for the United States on the 27th before the other members to prepare for the performance of the 64th Grammy Awards.
The PCR test performed during the departure process was negative, but after arriving in Las Vegas, it was found that he felt discomfort in his neck and received the test. Currently, Jungkook is in self-quarantine and treatment in accordance with the quarantine guidelines in the United States.
A representative from Big Hit Music explained, “Jungkook does not currently have any symptoms other than a slight sore throat, but he will be closely monitoring his health during the quarantine period. He continued, “We are in close communication with the organizers of the event,” he said.
BTS is expected to attend the Grammy Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on the 3rd of next month as nominees for ‘Best Pop Duo/Group Performance’.
