BTS, until the last remaining Jungkook… Diagnosed in US ahead of Grammys

Group BTS member Jungkook (real name Jeon Jeongguk) was diagnosed with the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) ahead of the Grammy Awards and US concert next month. As a result, all BTS members were infected with Corona 19.

Big Hit Music, the agency, announced on the 29th through the fan community platform Weverse, “Jungkook was confirmed with Corona 19 as a result of a gene amplification (PCR) test in Las Vegas, USA.” The agency said, “Jungkook left for the United States before the other members on the 27th to prepare for the performance of the ’64th Grammy Awards’.” According to the agency, Jungkook’s PCR test performed during the departure process was negative, but after arriving in Las Vegas, he felt uncomfortable in his throat and was tested.

Five people, starting with member Suga in December last year, RM, Jin, Jimin, and V, were infected with Corona 19 and recovered after treatment. J-Hope was recently confirmed in Korea and is receiving treatment at home. As even Jungkook tested positive, all 7 members were infected with COVID-19.

It is known that Jungkook is currently in self-quarantine and treatment in accordance with quarantine guidelines in the United States. The agency said, “Jungkook does not currently have any special symptoms other than a slight sore throat, but he will be closely monitoring his health during the quarantine period. He continued, “We are in close communication with the organizers of the event,” he said.

BTS is expected to attend the Grammy Awards held on the 3rd of next month (local time). Afterwards, they will meet fans around the world at the 4th concert in Las Vegas, USA on the 8th~9th and 15th~16th.
