Built-in intelligence is used to find benami trade in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: Artificial intelligence (Artificial Intelligence) and Data Analysis technology are being used to locate benami businesses in Saudi Arabia. A spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, Abdurrahman al-Hussein, said a strong investigation into the incident had begun.

More than 20 government departments are participating in the anti-benami campaign through data analysis to help identify companies operating illegally. He said departments including the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry, Zakat and the Tax and Customs Authority were taking part in the fight against benami business.

Making and selling fake iqama; Expatriate arrested
Riyadh: An expatriate has been arrested in Saudi Arabia for making a fake iqama (fake residence permit) and selling it. A Pakistani national has been arrested in Jazan. Police found that in addition to the residence permit, he also forged driving licenses (Saudi driving licenses) and sold them to foreigners.

Police said they found a large collection of self-made iqamas and driving licenses from him. Police also seized equipment used to make fake documents. Jizan police said the case was handed over to the public prosecution after the proceedings were completed.
