Bumra puts an end to drought; 925 days after taking the wicket in the first power play

Paul (South Africa): Indian pace bowler Jaspreet Bumra ended the wicket drought in the first ODI against South Africa. In ODIs, Bumra takes wickets in the powerplay overs (first six overs) after a long wait of two years and seven months. Bumrah ended a 925-day drought by dismissing Jannen Malan in the third over of the match.

Prior to this, Bumra had taken wickets in the first power play at the 2019 ODI World Cup. New Zealand’s Martin Guptill was eliminated in the semi – finals.

Bumra Malan took the wicket in the third over of the ODI against South Africa. Malan, who scored six runs off 10 balls with a four, was bowled by Bumra wicketkeeper Rishabh.
