As of 9 p.m. on the 1st, 19,708 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported across the country.
According to each local government, including Seoul, from 00:00 to 9pm on the same day, 19,708 people in 17 cities and provinces across the country were diagnosed with COVID-19.
There were 14,836 fewer people than the previous day’s total of 34,544. One week ago, on the 24th of last month, there were 13,752 fewer people than the same time period (33,460).
It is the first time in 13 weeks since January 30 (15,142) that the number of new confirmed cases recorded 10,000 during the same time period on Sunday.
As of 9 p.m. that day, there were 8795 (44.6%) new confirmed cases in the metropolitan area and 1913 (55.4%) in non-metropolitan areas.
By region, Gyeonggi 5237, Seoul 2657, Gyeongbuk 1514, Gyeongnam 1185, Jeonnam 995, Jeonbuk 929, Incheon 901, Gwangju 880, Chungnam 875, Daegu 825, Gangwon 753, Chungbuk 705, Daejeon had 675, Busan 501, Ulsan and Jeju each 411, and Sejong 254.
