On April 27, BYD released its performance report for the first quarter of 2022: the company’s current operating income was 66.825 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 63.02%; the net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 808 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 240.59%.

In March, the total sales of new energy vehicles reached 105,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 333.1%; the cumulative sales in the first quarter exceeded 286,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 423.0%. Among them, as of March, the cumulative sales volume of the BYD Han family has exceeded 190,000 units, ranking firmly in the top 1 of Chinese brands of medium and large sedans.

In February this year, BYD Yuan PLUS was officially launched. This model is equipped with e-platform 3.0, ultra-safe blade battery, DiLink4.0 intelligent network connection system, and adopts Dragon Face 3.0 family design language. , the pre-sale order exceeded 20,000 units. It is worth mentioning that Yuan PLUS, as the first global model in BYD’s overseas strategy, was launched simultaneously in overseas markets.

In the hybrid market, BYD DM-i focuses on “electricity-based”, taking into account both battery life and power, and adapting to a variety of vehicle usage scenarios. In March, BYD launched a new car, the Song MAX DM-i, which filled a large gap in the current domestic MPV model in the new energy vehicle market. In the same month, Haiyang.com’s first sedan destroyer 05 was launched. It is specially designed for young users. With DM-i super-hybrid technology as its core advantage, it has entered the compact sedan market dominated by joint venture models.

In April, the all-new Han EV Creation Edition, Han Qianshan Cui Limited Edition, Han DM-i and Han DM-p were officially launched, with nearly 50,000 orders as of April 10. With the introduction of the DM-i hybrid model, the competitiveness of BYD Han products has been further enhanced.
