Captain Kovid, Kohli and Rishabh taking selfies! BCCI in turmoil | Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant make mockery of BCCI’s COVID-19 advisory

BCCI scolds Indian cricketers ahead of crucial Test series against England The BCCI was outraged when team members wandered around the city irresponsibly despite the injury of captain Rohit Sharma Kovid.

Kovid is widespread in England but there are no restrictions as before. Taking advantage of this, the Indian players went around and took selfies with onlookers on social media. This, in turn, comes after the BCCI introduced a code of conduct for players following Rohit Sharma’s Kovid injury.

Senior batsman Virat Kohli and future captain Rishabh Pant are said to have led the disciplinary action. Shubhman Gill, Navdeep Saini, Kamlesh Nagarkodi, Shardul Thakur, Mohammad Siraj and Shreyas Iyer have been spotted on social media.

The BCCI has also warned the team management that action will be taken against the players if they misbehave. Rohit Sharma is unlikely to recover before the next Test. In this case the role of captain should be taken entirely by another player. Virat Kohli is also stepping down from the leadership. Rishabh Pant and Jaspreet Bumra will be considered for the captaincy. It can be said that Rishabh himself tore the lot of the ball as he was among those who committed disciplinary offenses.

Jaspreet Bumra, who has more experience in international cricket than Rishabh Pant, who led the IPL team, is likely. No pace bowler has led the Indian team since Kapil Dev. Former Indian fast bowler Mohit Sharma has said that Jaspreet Bumra is the best captain.

Mohit, who is vocal about his calm teammate, points to Pat Cummins’ shining captaincy in Australian cricket. Former India captain Harbhajan Singh is also of the opinion that Bumra should be the captain.
