“The heat is over and new products are being released, so it’s time to prepare a blanket for winter”

[이데일리 함지현 기자] As a cold wind begins to blow in the morning and evening, the bedding industry launches fall and winter bedding in earnest. There are different types of products, from goose quilts with excellent thermal insulation to functional products incorporating eco-friendly bio-fibres and allergy care.

According to the related industry on the 25th, Sesa and Sesa Living, operated by Welcron, launched a large number of new bedding products that pursue ’emotional stability’ and ‘timeless style’ through simple pattern design.

In terms of functionality, the premium product line, such as 99.9% antibacterial functional bedding, has been strengthened by expanding the application of ‘Welloche’, a unique allergy care functional fabric, reflecting consumer demand for health and rest. As well as the quilt for the changing seasons, it also launched a bespoke winter duvet using ‘Fogni’ fabric, which has excellent thermal insulation.

The representative product is the heavy duty Hungarian goose quilt that Sesa Living introduced for the autumn and winter season. They are △Dandi Goose Dressing △Herrington Goose Dressing △Cerial Goose Dressing △Valendi Goose Dressing.

Among them, Dandy Goose Charyeom is a product containing 80% Hungarian goose down, which has excellent durability and warmth. It is manufactured using a three dimensional sewing method which creates a sort of ‘goose room’ by erecting a wall between the fabrics to prevent shedding and pooling, and to further increase warmth and volume. In addition, the grain goose quilt contains 90% Hungarian goose down.

‘Good Night’, a new product for soon-to-be-weds, is designed to visually highlight the softness of the bedclothes by expressing the texture of the fabric in detail. The monotone color combination gives a comfortable feel while adding luxurious calligraphy embroidery.

Yvezari launched the ‘CU ZAM’ series made of conductive fiber grafted with copper material (CU). Conductive fibers containing copper ions were used for the cover fabric. The high thermal conductivity of the fiber distributes the heat generated by the body evenly and prevents the generation of static electricity to reduce dust adsorption. In addition, the copper element inhibits the growth of bacteria and microorganisms and prevents bad odors caused by microbial metabolism.

Goose products are also available. It is suitable for covering the dry autumn season when the skin is sensitive by using the modal microfiber fabric, which has a soft touch, as a cover.

Snow Goose, a representative product, contains 80% Hungarian goose down, which has excellent durability and warmth as a filling material. Tate Goose contains 70% Hungarian goose down. Pink and gray bedding can be used with different front and back sides on both sides according to your taste.

New eco-friendly bio-fiber products with high biodegradability and functionality were also introduced. New Way is a Korean paper fiber product developed with mulberry raw material with patented technology. Applein is a fiber made from a combination of cotton and modal extracted from beech trees to maintain a soft feel and vivid color for a long time. In addition, Yvezari’s representative natural fiber product is an organic solid made from cotton grown without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers for more than 3 years.

The waste plastic recycling product line, first launched last year, is also gradually expanding. ‘Fresh Blue’ is eco-friendly bedding made from recycled plastic waste. It has excellent anti-mite and anti-bacterial properties. It has a hollow structure inside the fibers and can hold a lot of air, so it is light and cozy. The cover is made of 100% cotton and high density fabric, and polygene sanitary processing is added to enhance antibacterial and deodorant effects.

An industry official said, “At this time when the heat is over and many new products are released, there is a lot of demand for winter blankets.”
