Caribbean Ministers and Vice Ministers Invited to Busan… Expo 2030 Promotion

The city of Busan invites ministers and vice ministers of the Caribbean region to Busan and promotes the Busan World Expo 2030 (Expo).

The city of Busan announced that it had invited high-ranking officials from Caribbean countries, including Bahamian Foreign Minister Frederick Mitchell, Guyana’s Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs Elizabeth Anne Harper, and Secretary General of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) Rodolfo Sabonge, to Busan for two day of the 1st.

On the morning of the 1st, the city will explain the preparations for the Expo to Minister Mitchell and others in the area around Busan Port North, where Busan Expo 2030 is planned to be held.

Following this, a welcome dinner and bilateral meeting will be held at the Westin Chosun Busan Hotel under the chairmanship of Vice Mayor Lee Seong-kwon to request support for hosting Expo Busan 2030.

On the 2nd, Secretary Mitchell and others will tour the Korea Institute of Science and Technology’s hydraulic experiment building and marine satellite center in Yeongdo-gu, Busan, and attend a presentation on Busan Port jointly hosted by Busan City and Busan Port Authority.

Minister Mitchell and others visited Korea to attend the 12th Korea-Caribbean High Level Forum held in Seoul on the 30th of last month.
