Carlos Sainz of Ferrari F1 “I found a weakness by visiting Jeddah twice in a short period of time”[F1-Gate .com]

Carlos Sainz of Scuderia Ferrari says his two short visits to the Jeddah Cornish circuit in F1 helped him understand his current weaknesses in Ferrari’s F1-75.

So far, Carlos Sainz has been behind his teammate Charles Leclerc in both qualifying sessions and races this year, 12 points behind driver’s ranking leader Charles Leclerc.

F1 visited the Jeddah Cornish Circuit for the first time in December last year as the penultimate round of the 2021 season, but moved to the second round in 2022.

Carlos Sainz outlined his current weaknesses, “techniques and details,” as “keeping the team for privacy and not giving too much,” but Jeddah has a useful lesson. Says he got.

“I can already say that this was the best experience I’ve ever had in terms of going to a truck I was very confident with last year’s car 100 days ago,” Carlos Sainz explained.

“It was very fast in qualifying and racing and I knew exactly what to expect from the car and what the car would give.”

“I came back 100 days later and it was a very strong corner last year and I seem to have a lot of trouble.”

“I’m not driving the car the way I should be, and it doesn’t give me the exact feeling I need to drive. That’s what I’m working on.”

Carlos Sainz added that he “takes a step forward in the race and takes a step in the right direction”, adding that he has a deeper understanding of where he needs to fill his time.

“It’s also given that recognition in two or three types of corners or places last year. The commemorative, confident and comfortable part isn’t this year.”

“By recognizing the points, we can become stronger for the future.”
