Thiruvananthapuram: A case has been registered against a youth who circulated a video in the new media after giving false information during a vehicle inspection. Chadayamangalam police has registered a case against a Kattakada resident from Thiruvananthapuram. The young man, who gave his name and address as Raman, the son of Dasaratha of Ayodhya, had deceived the police, which led to a lot of ridicule in the news media.

Chadayamangalam police have finally found the real name and address of Dasaratha’s son Ram in Ayodhya. The man’s place is Myladi near Kattakada. His real name is Nandakumar. Nandakumar was arrested on May 12 for driving without a seat belt. Nandakumar gave a false address to the police who fined him Rs 500.

Nandakumar said the place was Ayodhya, his father’s name was Dasarathan and his own name was Raman. Although he realized that the name and address given by Nandakumar was wrong, the police officer who paid the fine replied that whatever the name, the government should get the money. However, the police took up the case and found the person after Nandakumar circulated a trolley video to the police using a false name and address.

Sections 419 of the IPC, 121 of the Kerala Police Act and 179 of the Motor Vehicles Act. The three categories are bailable. Police are hoping that the arrest will be registered the next day, which will alleviate the humiliation in the news media.
