The Pakistan football team will come to India to play the SAFF Cup after the central government gave the green light The General Secretary of the Indian Football Federation, Shaji Prabhakaran, has informed about this. The SAFF Cup will be held in Bengaluru from June 21 to July 4. Eight teams will play in the SAFF Cup.
“The Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Sports have facilitated this. We did our thing. Welcome to Pakistan. All nationalities were entitled to a visa. Now we have to do things from their side. ” – Shaji Prabhakaran said.
India and Pakistan are in one group. The two teams will meet on 21 June. This is the first clash between India and Pakistan in five years. India won 3-1 when the two teams last met in the semi-finals of the 2018 SAFF Championship.
