The national police announced the arrest of a couple who were engaged in the cultivation of cannabis in the town of Tiébélé, province of Nahouri.
The drug was grown in two locations, including inside their home and in a field.
According to the police during this operation 425 cannabis plants were discovered and destroyed.
The cannabis field was identified and destroyed thanks to the collaboration of the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP) in the area, the police said.
The defendants were brought before the competent authorities for legal action.
