Cha Yu-ram appointed ambassador of professional billiards |

[스포츠한국 김성수 기자] Former LPBA player Cha Yoo-ram continues her relationship with professional billiards by serving as a PBA public relations ambassador.

The Professional Billiards Association (PBA, President Kim Young-soo) announced on the 2nd that it was holding the ‘Cha Yu-ram professional billiards association appointment ceremony’ at the PBA office in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 31st of last month and ‘to appoint Cha Yu-ram as her PR ambassador.

Cha Yoo-ram participates in official events related to the PBA-LPBA tour, online/offline promotional activities, and events held by the PBA as a public relations ambassador. In particular, PBA Public Relations Ambassador Yu-Ram Cha decided to contribute to the construction of a purpose-built stadium as a promotion member of the ‘PBA Stadium Promotion Committee’ (PBA Vice President Jang Sang-jin).

As a pocketball player, Cha Yu-ram made his name known by participating in the 2006 Doha Asian Games and the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games as a national representative. After that, to coincide with the launch of the PBA Professional Billiards in 2019, he debuted as a PR ambassador and LPBA player and switched to cushion 3.

In the ‘PBA Team League’, he also teamed up with Welcome Savings Bank Wellbang Phoenix, won the regular league in the 2020-21 season, and contributed to the league’s post-season combined regular championship the following year. In the individual journey, he has been active as a player representing LPBA, such as reaching the semi-finals of the NH Nonghyup Card Championship in the 21-22 season.

Cha Yoo-ram said, “As a former billiards player, I feel proud that the professional billiards world tour has been making remarkable progress since its launch in Korea. We will do our best to build a PBA stadium only so that professional billiards can develop further in the future.”
