Reuters, Beijing, October 28-A spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday that Chinese Vice Premier Liu He and U.S. Treasury Secretary Yellen (Yellen) spoke for about an hour and a half to exchange views on a wide range of issues in the economic and trade field. Exchanges and discussions on the macroeconomic situation and policies of the two countries, including growth situation, inflationary pressure, financial stability, supply chain, etc.

Ministry of Commerce spokesperson Shu Jueting said at a regular press conference that the two sides exchanged views on specific cooperation in multilateral and bilateral fields such as financial market supervision and cooperation under the G20 framework.

“China has always been open to the dialogue and communication between the ministers of commerce of China and the United States.” Shu Jueting said.

Vice Premier of the State Council of China and the Chinese leader of the China-US Comprehensive Economic Dialogue, Liu He held a video call with U.S. Treasury Secretary Yellen on Tuesday.
