China’s Vivo unveils ‘Y02’, a low-end smartphone with a 5000mAh battery… 138,000 won

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo announced the latest entry-level smartphone ‘Y02’.

The Y02 has a 6.51-inch HD+ LCD display on the front, and has an octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, and a 5000mAh battery that supports 10W charging.

There is a 5MP camera on the front notch and a single 8MP camera on the back. It offers a 3.5mm headphone jack, but no fingerprint scanner. To unlock your smartphone without a password, you must use facial recognition.

The operating system runs on Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12 Go edition, and the storage can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card slot.

The Y02 can currently be purchased for 1,499,000 Indonesian rupiah (about 138,000 won) through the Indonesian online shopping mall, Shopee. It is not yet known if it will be released in other regions.
